I have a two car detached garage that I have insulated the 2x6 trusses in the ceiling with r-19. Now I would like to drywall it and was told I need too add vents? I have two vents on one side of the garge that I didn't put insulation over. Walls are insulated with r-13 and I have a insulated garage door. Do I pull it all down and put baffles in it, strip the insulation in half and staple it back up? Garge is heated and air-conditioned, had it down to 72 degrees last night and it was hot out.

I think you need roof vents, not ceiling vents...once the ceiling is closed off, the attic space above needs to have fresh air passing through. It's generally done by putting vents in the soffits along with vents up towards the peak of the roof, so that fresh air will enter at the soffits and then rise through the attic to the upper vents.

Do a search for Durovent on the Lowes or Home Depot web site. These vents go between your insulation and the bottom of your roof decking to prevent moisture buildup and wood rot.
