If any one knows anything abou this type of unit ..my unit is still in the box and nnow want to know if it is possible to hook it up ..the following questions are not in the install manual
The first question is the exit of the 2 copper lines internal unit …do they stay in the unit or can be bent ???
I need it to exit on the left side of the unit when looking at it from the front ..is there an issue with the 2 copper lines bending them ..what is the preferred method ..or do you bring the copper line set supplied up to the unit and connect it to the existing lines and leave the lines as they are in the unit ..?
I am installing the internal unit over a hall way entrance closet and planning to go down to the garage below and over about 12 ft tp the ext ernal wall to hook up the external unit …so this means the hook up line set’s included will have some bends 1- to go into the closet and down next to go across the garage ceiling
Z basically a z type ..IN THROUGH THE WALL BOARD TO CLOSET AND DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND THEN ACROSS THE CEILING IN THE GARAGE TO THE OUT SIDE UNIT ..
2-The 1/4 inch has A CAP AND but a small end that is bent closed – crimped - ….is there an issue when removing it to connect the new line ? The larger pipe just has a cap ..I know the smaller line is the pressure side is this required for shipping ??? if this is removed can there be a leak ?
3-When the 2 copper lines are connected what is the procedure to start up the unit‘s ..does this unit need to be purged air vacuumed out before start up ???
4- I RECEIVED 3 Elect. Cable sets ? one for power YELLOW /RED /BLACK ..the other 2 GREEN/WHITE/BLACK are for what …I have 2 than are the same with a green gnd terminal .I AM SURE ONE IS USED BETWEEN THE 2 INDORR OUTDOOR UNITS . AND THE OTHER IS FOR THE POWER – ARE THERE 2 CABLES BETWEEN THE INDOO AND OUTDOOR UNITS .
5- what is the black plastic plug at the back of the unit on the right side looking from the back at the unit ???
I PRESUME IT IS A SECOND OPTION FOR THE DRAIN IF REQURED .
