Cell phone reception ?

Anyone have a problem with cell phone reception in your pole barn with all the steel siding? I cant hardly make a phone call out of my barn. Anybody got any solutions to this problem? Thank you very much for any help.

Same deal with me. I have to be near the door or window to keep from dropping a call. I just keep a chair near a window in the lounge(NOT MAN CAVE) area of my garage so I can relax while I talk.

I have no problem with mine but I travel with work and usually pull my camper parking in some areas with very little cell service. My work depends on me having cell service so I put a Wilson booster in the truck and camper. The one I have in the camper has an outside antenna as well as one on the inside. Increases cell strength in up to a 400sq ft area I believe. Got it at best buy about 200

I have AT&T and was able to get them to give me a MicroCell for free for my warehouse. It uses an internet connection to connect to their network. Made a huge difference.

I bought one of these:
zBoost ZB545 SOHO Dual Band Cell Phone Signal Booster for Home and Office, up to 2,500 sq. ft.

Went from not being able to make a call to having 4 bars inside the shop.

X2 on the ZBoost. I have a 4g model for the metal shop, and a 3G model at the house. Both made a huge difference.

x3 on the zboost $200-$250. I got mine at Radio shack ( i know good luck with that) The guy sold me the cheaper one and said if it isn't good enough bring it back and they would credit off the more expensive one $400-$500.

We went with the Wilson AG pro kit, even before our building went up cell coverage was extremely limited. So far we've been quite pleased!

My cell won't work in my metal building unless I am by the window. I put it on the window sill and turn on its hotspot, then I can sit in a chair anywhere and use the internet.

0 signal inside my barn, 4 bars 1 step out the door. Just as well I guess.

Just a normal wireless signal problem. Wireless doesn't like metal boxes - barns, press boxes, elevators, etc.
