Hello, new to forum. Gonna build a small 16x24x8 1 car garage for primarily storage, maybe a small boat/trailer, maybe a small car or 1500 Dodge truck. My question after reading on this forum for thickness of floor is lots of people say 6 inches, but also a lot say 4 inches. If I were doing this myself and based on what I've stated, my guess is 4/5 inches with wire or rebar should be fine for what I need. Since we are only talking about 384 square feet floor am I right for 4 inch thickness? How deep should the perimeter footers be? BTW, I am in Central Indiana so gets cold in winter. I already have a gravel base of about 3 inches.....do I need more? tks in advance for any guidance.
