Cement slab dry time?

I had a 4" cement slab poured last Thursday 6/26/14. How long would you recommend waiting until parking a tractor in there? (Tractor weight approximately 3500 pounds). Weather here has been warm / hot with temps in the 60's at night and high 80's during the day.

Thanks. I'm not in a hurry - just want to be 100% SURE that the concrete has cured as much as needed before driving on it.

I can't give you a specific answer but I sure hope you've been keeping the slab damp. Concrete that cures under moist conditions develops much more strength that concrete that is starved for moisture during curing.

Note that concrete does not dry!! It cures by way of chemical reaction and water is critical to the process.

The contractor who did my concrete said he tells everyone 1 week minimum. He says its best to wait 3 weeks though.

Now I was using a ladder on it within 3 days with no issues.

for a typical concrete (3000psi), it can develop ~2000psi strength in seven days.

For a 3500lbs tractor w/ four tires, you're exerting no more than 100psi from each tire.

I got mine done last Monday and guy told me 3 days for traffic and boxes 7 days for cars. It takes 30 days to fully cure from what I was told and read everywhere.
