Hello, my name is Jim and I am currently refurbishing a Central Machinery Table saw Model 1052. I have been told that Central Machinery has been bought by Jet. My question is, what would you do, keep the old toggle switch for on/off or replace it with a modern paddle safety switch? I want to keep it original but also want to modernize safety.

Do both. Keep the old switch in it's original place so the saw is still original, but wire it with the new paddle switch for safety.

Welcome.

Central machinery is a Harbor Freight brand. They may be made in the same factory as some of the jet stuff, though.
