i would think it dumb of the truck owner to not put an alarm on it considering they drive it around with thousands of dollars in it. just my thoughts though

Start checking the Pawn shops. Not the one's real close but those about and hour or so away. It seems that theives know not to sell them next door but are too cheap to drive very far.

not only an alarm system, but more so survailance at and also around the facility. Amazing how they know where they store the items. I guess it would not be that hard, just follow the tool truck home

p.s. I have a alibi LOL

on a serious note, hope you catch them and hope it was insured. Its food off a families table.

Something fishy here. I've never seen or heard of an alarm that waits 10 minutes. Why even have such? All of my alarms are immediate.

Fishy.

I'd guess malfunction but who knows...I know mine has a 30 second delay before all hell breaks loose. gives me time to deactivate the damn thing when I get home. Every now and again i'm a little slow getting to the keypad. Damn that siren hurts the ears!!

hope they catch the low-lifes.

Yeah what are you doing posting up your address on a Public Forum? Inviting more theft for more insurance money? I would make that pic posted disappear for the OP's sake.

Just for Snail Mail Spam's sake you don't post personal addresses on the intrawebz. Regardless of the situation. All the tweakers need is a reason. When you make it easy for them then you are an easier target. Since the Tweakers never sleep they have all the time in the world to look for **** like this.

Sure you can get a list of Snap-On Dealers names and Addresse if you look hard enough and know the right people but why make it easy? It takes about 30 seconds to edit that address out before posting it in programs that come standard with any version of windows.

Usually glass break and door contact sensors are immediate or on a short (like 45 second) delay. These sensors were not disturbed. They cut a hole in the wall. Now they have to trip a motion sensor in the room. Maybe the owner got slack and hung a jacket or placed an object in front of the motion sensor that obstructed part of it's view. Month in, month out, you get slack, it is easy to do.

I have a rental storage unit and lots of businesses use them for their warehouse. One day while I was driving out one of the units was open and it was chock full of big LCD and plasma TVs. This is a storage unit that isn't alarmed and doesn't have video surveillance. I don't know whether that company still stores high value electronics there or not.

A family friend's home in Memphis was broken into and electronics and jewelry stolen. Turned out it was people who had delivered furniture to the house a couple of days earlier. The thieves were, in effect, being paid while they cased homes and neighborhoods to rob.

My point is that, depending on where the actually goods were stolen from, lots of people may have known that the Snap On guy stored items there. Few places are safe from theft and while any loss stinks, at least it was just property and no one was harmed (though since the theft was in Texas, if it had been a home invasion, the thieve's family could well have been planning his funeral).

Why is that invoice taxed..... When I wholesale items for resale they are tax "free" with a tax id?

I'm sure that he created a ticket to keep tabs on the missing items. He can easily add to it if he finds more missing. It's just a quote, not an actual sale.

Why was the invoice "taxed"? I'm guessing here, but it looks like the dealer used his Point of Sale system with the inventory module to create the list of items stolen. It wasn't taxed because there was no retail sale. I don't think their system has a category for theft (although since "shrinkage" is the business term for loss of inventory it might have a report to account for shortages).
