Good. Could never stand cfl bulbs. Glad leds are taking over. I disagree about 5k bulbs though, way too intense for me.

Other than the Sam's example...

Where do you see them anywhere near that cheap ?? Marc

Costco if the area power company is offering an in store rebate .........many choices in wattage and prices vary by location but often are $1.00 to $3.00 per bulb.

Costco on line recent flyer has 24 pack of LED 60 equivalent for $38

After reading several online articles about Chinese-made CFL bulbs starting house fires I yanked them all out and replaced them with LED bulbs.
In addition to not being something that will burn your house down, LED bulbs don't contain mercury.

I've had SEVERAL CFL bulbs where you can clearly see burned marks on the ends of the bulb that go into the ballast.

I had one in a light fixture once and I kept hearing a scratchy noise, couldn't find what was happening at first. Then as I approached the light I could hear the bulb frying itself. The bulb base was extremely hot to the point that if the light was left on and we were out of the house I really believe something would have caught fire or started melting.
