This is looking good. Are you planning on combining the red border on the floor tiles to make it one large red border? That could help make it appear larger. Just an idea. The interior house projects are turning out real nice. Did i mention before that my Dad has an orange 69 z28 4 speed with the dz302? Its not real fast but its a fun car to drive. He had a red 69 SS with a 400 small block before but it was an auto car. He has lost interest in the older cars we have recently. But growing up with the 69 camaro is what got me intersted in cars to begin with.

Yes exactly! I'm going to push the red border farther out on the right and then fill in the middle with the same graphite tiles. I think that will make it more expansive. Very cool to hear about a real Z28! I hear those 302's really rev out and would be a blast to drive. My dad had some 69 camaros when I was a kid and I just always loved them to this day.

Red walls? New RaceDeck floor patterns? What the heck is going on here!?!

Looks great, Chad. There's something to be said for changing up a space that appears perfect to everyone else. Keeps things fresh, for sure! The house projects look equally as impressive. You are a man on a mission! You're energy and enthusiasm is really getting me pumped up for Spring! Can't wait to start tinkering around once the winter weather is gone.

Keep it up!

Thanks Rick! Great to hear from you and glad you like my updates - hoped opening that can of paint would grab your attention! You know exactly how it is to already have the perfect space but still want to play with the look and keep fine tuning. I enjoy the garage so much I just don't want to stop improving it. I'm ready to use your racedeck cleaning method soon when I put in the new tiles. I already have spring fever and ready to fire up the pressure washer.

Great stone update on the house,! And the garage looking better and better aswell :)

Thanks!

This is probably more than you will spend on your actuator project but they are interesting. Thought it was worth sharing. They are manufactured here in Toledo. The only reason I know about them at all is because I drove by their shop. The name intrigued me so I searched the inter web to satisfy my interest.

Really like your garage and the vino wall. You have great design sensibilities.

Ripping through the gears at 7,000 RPMs is a blast. Not many old motors can do that!

Thank for the kind compliment! Yes, I researched and got quotes on several options and really like the mirror option or the scrolling artwork. I really like the movable artwork best. Most were lucky to start at $2,000 and went to $8k more especially for the moving artwork! I decided to have a custom actuator built and do all the work fabbing it up for hundreds of dollars instead. I get a kick out of doing the look of high end stuff for cheap with my own labor and a chance to learn something new. It's not done yet but I'm hopeful I can pull it off though! :D

Got the new racedeck down today. I really like the more expansive look to change it up. Went down really quick.

I liked moving the stripe on the right further over and also when you walk out from the house you have this very long line of red tile down the distance of the room.

Before on Right Side:

After stripe pushed right:

After (looking from house door):

Looks great! My 3 car is similar with the graphite FF center with a red FF border on 3 sides. I just finished reading your whole thread, your garage is amazing!

We have been at this this house for 7 months, I am playing catch up on the whole "better organization" part of the garage.

Once again, your garage is awesome and I love the new Viper. You have me thinking things.

Thanks so much! I really like how you only have the black thin edge at the entry and then jumps to red. That would give me another row of the graphite tiles. Your space looks great! Amazing if you've only been there 7 months.

Thanks! Yep 7 months, well 8 months in about a week. The edges that I got from RD are graphite, they probably have black. I have the edges at the front of both garage doors and at the service door as well.

My edging is also black

When I ordered, Dunja asked if I wanted Graphite or Black. I chose the Graphite. I think in one of my pics it looks darker than it is.

I have that happen all the time with my center graphite color. Sometimes it looks black and sometime gray like I wanted. I wish I could keep it bright enough in there all the time. Kind of wished I went with Alloy color.

How's it going, Chad? Garage changes look great, what's your next car purchase going to be?

Hey man how's it going? Thanks so much. Man that's a big question ha ha. I'm always dreaming of the NEXT one. I might get my camaro more streetable such as AC/5 speed/suspension.

Otherwise my wife is a car nut too and has dreams of an R8 someday which is crazy but I love her for it. For the same money I'd rather buy an old Ferrari but I know the Audi is a more reliable and usable car. I also really love '58 Corvettes, 57 chevy's, 32 fords...so many choices I hope I can add them all over my lifetime though. I'm just flat obsessed with so many makes and models. :willy_nil

Love the wine stone wall.
I couldn't have anything like that. There would never be any wine on the rack with my wife around. LOL

Oh. Happy wine drinking day! http://nationaldrinkwineday.org/

That's too funny because we deal with that a lot! I'm like honey why is there an open spot?? My OCD can't stand to have one missing. I try to trick myself by keeping slightly nicer bottles there so I don't raid it as often and think twice before drinking it. If I load it with 2 buck chuck then they'd all be gone fast! Either way we don't drink fancy wines generally - I'd rather go for quantity over quality!

So I got my entertainment area updated. I hung the 55" tv I robbed from the living room project (needed a smaller one inside to fit in my wall framing). I also stole the nice soundbar and subwoofer. That set up rocks out there.

I really like using that whole wall section as the hangout area. Before I had the tv on the corner like an afterthought but now it is closer to being centered. I have the apple tv hooked up for streaming music and slideshows.

I really want to either hang another neon sign above it or I might do some blue LED backlighting which I'm already doing for the living room tv. I love the look of blue against the red wall with my other sign.

PICS!

Such a **** setup. Your wife needs an R8, by the way. Make it happen!

Oh yes that's right you are the biggest Audi fan I know! You'd have her talked into one in no time. I think the 2008 model with the smaller V8 looks as good as any of them and would be half the price or less than new. She is already dead set on silver with black blades which I agree are beautiful. We've never owned an Audi of any kind before. Her Mercedes is in the shop for some blue smoke and valve problem so I'm not a fan of german cars right now but it will be worth it to get it fixed and back home I hope.

Went to start the 69 camaro this morning and had a dead battery so I guess the old chevy is not immune either today.

I'm not sure how I've missed your thread until now, but I just read through the whole thing. You've done an outstanding job, what a transformation! Beautiful assortment of cars as well, must be s treat to sit at that high top table with a drink and admire what you've created!

Wow that is crazy! I had no idea. I'll have to try and look up the show to see a rerun.

What looks really crazy is they Photoshopped their show onto my TV hanging on the wall! Thanks for sharing.

They did, they even made a dorky comment saying "and look, he has good taste in tv, he's watching our show!"

Regarding your plans for some sort of decoration above or around your large TV: personally I think lighting near the TV screen may prove too distracting. Might I recommend crossed checked or racing flags above the screen. I realize this comes perilously close to the Corvette badging, but I think it would compliment your garage décor and the racing theme.

Thanks Craig. I do have a viper banner I might hang up that would work. I just did a blue led backlight on my living room tv and it turned out pretty cool. I'll keep thinking on it more.
