I've spent the last couple hours searching around... I assume a lot of you already know about this site, but I just wanted to share it to those that might not... all the german tool goodness a guy could ask for... if only I could hit a lotto... :lol_hitti

ya, definitely hit and miss from what I read... some love em, some DON'T... lol
but pretty much all of the replies mention slow shipping....
I don't have any experience ordering from them, just thought it was a good site with a pretty good selection....

I bought the biggest set of Knipex Cobras from them, the shipping time was reasonable (about five days or so). I think the shipping time delays were a result of being shipped from Alaska(at least mine were). In any case I didn't have any problems with the service at all.

I just bought 9 knipex pliers from Chads. The shipping was a bit slow took me 3 weeks to get my stuff, but one item was on back order and they don't ship till it's complete to save shipping costs. They are by far the cheapest place I've found to get Knipex stuff. I'm going to order more stuff from them soon, this was my first trial order with them and I am satisifed, so now I'll fill in the other items I was planning on getting. If you spend over $200 it's free shipping (they used USPS priority mail, 3 days delivery time). I would recommend them.

Most of the time the slowness comes from him having to order stuff as he cannot possibly stock all he has on his site.

Customer service is poor and the site looks like it was designed by a 5 year old.

You're better off going to Amazon first.

ordered a wera bit wrench and it was shipped the next day arriving at my door 3 days later. Recieved email updates the whole time. They seem to act as a broker for other brands which get drop shipped by other dealers so in some respects their prices arent the best. Entirely depends on the product.

I've bought a lot of stuff from them. It takes a week or two to get stuff but they have the best prices on Wera tools. They price match any web site and they update their website as well. Also, you can get a lot of free stuff by friending them on facebook and looking at their promo deals.

I ordered a bunch of single Wiha drivers from Chad's. After 2.5 wks I emailed and asked status- they said something was on BO. Ok, fair enough, but they don't say what is on BO- if it's 1-2 items and I orderd 20, cancel the BO and ship what's in stock but they don't give specifics. After 4 wks I emailed and said cancel the BO and ship what's in stock or cancel entire order if not possible. They then replied and said the order shipped 5 days ago and then gave me a tracking number. I was not in a big rush but I do expect to at least get order status (i.e.: 2 items on BO, what do you want to do?) and then a tracking # when something ships and not only when I ask. I don't think this is unreasonable, but maybe it is. Or maybe places like Amazon are the exception.

I will probably try Chad's again in the future but not for Wiha, and whatever I order I will not wait a month- I will check status more often and make them perform some customer svc.
