Does he have a credit card mackine that is separate from his computer? I wonder if he ran the card & forgot to post them to your account.

Might be a simple problem. Confirm with the bank and Snap-On where the money has gone and where it should go. Odd that it appears that they have received some payments.

Sounds like your dealer hasn't been reconciling his books every day. It's kind of easy to do with Snap On's DSS software, you can accidentally take a payment but not apply it. If you dont balance your books carefully it can slip through.

Do you have your receipts? Take them on the truck and ask him to pull up each one, checking the invoice number on each one. If the invoice numbers don't match then there's the problem. Also look to see that the payment was applied to the right acct, e.g. RA, ZP, CS, etc.

Take your bank statement, compare it to his computer statement and you should be able to work things out. Dealers are human and mistakes can be made.

He trusted you enough to give you over $1000 in credit. You need to trust him enough that a $300 mistake will get corrected.

Save your weekly receipts/statements in a folder, easier to pull the invoice number up. Mistakes happen, highly doubt this was on purpose.

whats the interest rate and calculation method? your anticipated balance reflects Zero interest, and I garuntee you're gonna pay interest to finance anything

whats the term of the loan?, some rough math at 24% interest has you paying off in about 6 months

It is highly unlikely that your Snap-On dealer is trying to screw you over. He travels the routes and makes hundreds of stops and deals with 1000's if customers on a weekly or monthly basis depending on location and such. He often has over a MILLION dollars in inventory and deals with that inventory each and every day he hops on that truck to begin the day. He also deals with it when he gets home at night, as he often has tools waiting at his house to restock his truck and warranties that are sent back and that are due.

You are 1 person that he deals with, within the multitudes of his client base. He is a human being, and thus is prone to make a mistake every now and then. I am sure if you take all of your paper work and compare it to his, there will be a corrected total for your account, and if it was a mistake on his part, I can almost guarantee that he will apologize for the mistake.

Snap-On credit as far as from the company, can also make mistakes, in which case a call to them is needed. At any rate, I am sure that you can get this resolved with your dealer. While it may be frustrating at first, with a little patience, and a realization that no one on earth is PERFECT, you will see that it will and can be worked out.

Truck dealers don't charge interest. At least they don't here. That's kinda the whole point of buying from them.

This is the best reason to use that red vinyl wallet the dealer gave you! Keep all your receipts in one place and you probably could have resolved it right there on the spot.

I have never been charged interest on a Snap On truck.

I think if he did he would sell much less. They know that if you pay it you buy more.

Been a while since I bought anything so times may have changed.

Still your responsibility to gather those receipts from him whenever you do see him.

So your saying that you dont take managing your truck accounts seriously? You dont keep recepts, records, or any offical documentation...what do you want us to say? When i pay via card over the phone, i get a recept at my next visit or mailed to my house. Your account is your responsability too.

On those 'ride with a franchisee' videos they always show them balancing out their accounts at night or before their route. I guess this guy skip that training.
