Is there anything wrong with these people? Please speak up if there is. If they're total pricks, please tell me! They have about the best price for the Knipex 90 25 40 PVC cutters on the internet.

Yes, they have Horrible customer Service, I will never do business with them. Try KC Tools or Amazon.de

Most recently ordered up the "NWS 8 Piece Set of Popular Pliers with Finish 69" deal. 1st rate....super fast shipping with zero problems. We'll se what happens when there's a problem down the road. So far, so good.

I ordered my Knipex snap ring pliers set a few months ago and didn't have any trouble either.

The only issue I've had is they don't proactively tell you if something's back ordered. I had an order that didn't ship on time because a single bit was back ordered. I had to follow up several times over a month. They never reached out. I did eventually get everything.

Same for me as JBH. When I reached out to them they answered promptly and gave me an ETA which was in the nose. I wish they'd have done that on their own but whatever.

I'll buy again

Same here. If they don't have one item in stock they will hold the entire order until they do - and will not communicate this to you unless you ask. If you want split shipments, you have to pay for the additional freight.

Sometimes they have good deals, but the have no idea what proactive customer service means.

BUT if you know this ahead of time and can deal with their M.O. then they are fine.

Tooldiscounter.com is the same way. However they always answer e-mail/phone. If you aren't in a hurry they usually have the best price.

I've dealt with them multiple times over ~5 yrs. As said they don't update if something is out of stock. But they stock way more than they did 5 yrs ago so it's worth it if you're not in a hurry. First few orders it was 4 weeks to get but lately its been a week or less.

Surprised to see all of the negative feedback, I've placed 3 orders with them spaced a few months apart (all within the last 2 years) without any issues. If I'm in a time crunch though, i go to the tool truck as a first option and Amazon as a second.

Chad's is OK if you know what you are getting into before you order. Shipping is slow. Actually strike that...... shipping is usually fast (Priority Mail from Alaska, which is how they have sent all my orders) about 3 - 5 days. In house order filling is slow. Communication / service is poor unless you initiate and then is pretty good. If you order, this is the method I use with success ............ place the order, then contact and ask them to make sure everything on the order is in stock, cancel what ever is not in stock and ask for a refund , be prepared to wait two weeks. A hassle but their prices are frequently a LOT less. KC Tool is the opposite but you will pay for it. I am not talking about saving fifty cents on a screwdriver that would be one thing. But I think I got my 16" Pliers wrench and 22" Cobras for about $50 less on EACH one. And most Knipex and Wera stuff is 20 - 30% less than KC.

Well worth the small hassle if not in a hurry.

The other option that can be quite a bit less is Amazon Germany. Depends on the item.

I was going to order NWS Ergo Combi pliers from Chad's as they were the only place I could find to get them initially. They weren't on Amazon or Amazon.de, and KC Tool didn't have them (I agree on their prices being high for the most part, but it sounded like they were great to deal with, and they were). I asked here and was advised against Chad's, then KC Tool apparently had some in stock, so I paid $5 more and got it from them. I'd do it again.

Ordered from chad’s half a dozen times in the last couple years. No issues whatsoever actually surprised to see negative feedback at all given my experiences. Bought all my nws pliers and irrega wrenches from them.

My first choice would be KC Tool.

I bought something on ebay and it turned out to have come from chadstoolbox. There wasn't anything wrong with it nor did it take forever to get to me. I have read through that thread before and can't say I would specifically recommend them but I did get 100% of the things I bought from them without an issue.
