So what did you get? :bounce:

I am REALLY happy with Chad's they shipped almost everything 2day from Alaska for the same price. They emailed me about the items that were backordered and gave me a 2-3 week timeline for arrival.

You can see a few pics here;

Sorry for the crappy pics I took them with my cell. I'll get better ones later.
They included a free bottle opener and bit ratchet.

I have not had good luck with them at all. Little to no communication, store credit instead of refunds. Was told that I could cancel and request a refund but they would charge me a 15% cancellation fee. Paypal resolution for me. Never again with this bunch.

I've posted on other threads about the problems I have had with ordering from chads toolbox so I won't rehash it all. Suffice to say I'll never buy from them again unless, in an unimaginable situation, they are the only place that has a tool that I simply cannot find anywhere else. No... there are always other places.

couple problems I had with them was not informing me about back-ordered items, even it said "in-stock" on website.

also when qualified as free shipping, it take week to ship the package.

Usually thread resurrection is poor form, but in this case, if it helps get the word out about Chads attitude-heavy, service-poor style, I'm all aboard.

I do not care for bringing up a 5 year old post but so be it; I have bought a few items from them in the past and everything went smooth.

For me to stop using them I need to hear from other members before I make any snap judgements.

Just wanted to resurrect this thread and say that I just wasted 90 minutes trying to order something at the advertised price with the advertised free shipping. I ordered the item, paid through PayPal, discovered I was charged shipping. I contacted them and they informed me after the fact that my order missed the minimum amount for free shipping (this was never stated anywhere). So I said I would add an item. I found something else to buy. They cancelled the original order (giving me store credit instead of refund) and told me to purchase both items again. When I went to do this I found that they had raised the price of the item from what I had purchased it at not 2 hours prior. They also disabled my 5% promo code. When I Pointed this out they were rude and unhelpful in their response. I told them to refund my money from the original order and that I would no longer be placing an order with them today or ever.

I see they have not improved their sorry service any in the past few years. Theirs ranks near the worst I have experienced in buying online.

Many of My tool purchases have been done online in recent years.. I appreciate being informed about problems with retailers; and the details involved..

I once ordered a $1400 boiler panel from an eBay seller who listed a Minnesota location. The ad said three available.. I did not pay the shipping charge, and called about picking it up. There was a long pause on the phone; I was told His office was in Illinois, and the boiler was on a six week back-order in Germany.. Then he wanted to peddle something else... Glad I use PayPal, as I got a total refund..

I could easily add six other experiences, but I made My point..
Two things I recommend: a git list of retailers, as well as a **** list.. They both grow without watering.

Slow shipping, poor communication. Better off using EBay. I wish I would have found this thread before I placed my order.

It's obvious they don't. I don't understand why anyone buy's from them given all the negatives.

I made the unfortunate mistake in ordering from these dirtbags(Chads) about 6 months ago. Said item was in stock, it was not after calling them about 5 days later with no email order confirmation.
A couple calls later in the next two weeks and the order finally arrives.

Poor communication from them and their ****** attitude.

Hell No, never going to give those ***-hats another penny of my business

I've had really good luck with them. In fact, I paid for 3 day shipping and received in right on time. I've only placed two orders and they're significantly cheaper than most places that I've found. I'm not big on ebay since they screwed me once. My orders were not huge, but several hundred dollars worth of tools and I've been happy with them.

(the large to me tool purchase are due to this forum. Thanks?)

I can't recommend them. I ordered some Wera stuff earlier this year. I opted for the economy shipping, but didn't expect for my order to sit for two weeks before they shipped it. It seemed like after I contacted them after a week of wondering why it didn't ship, they purposely let my item sit that extra week before shipping it. Not to mention, they never returned my second email, 3 days after the first one (now 10 days later and no status update). Amazon.de is still more reliable and faster than these dirtbags.

I placed my first and last order with them in May. I always use KCtool for German tools, but they were out of stock, so I gave chads a try. After 20+ days without a shipping notification I sent an Email asking what was up. I got no response, but my order shipped the next day. Lost my business permanently.

Dave, save yourself lots of frustration and skip Chads.
There is NO other business that combines extremely poor communication
with a heaping dose of attitude to this degree.
There is no other business that moves me to post every time the thread comes around haha.
