I cautiously ordered from them the first time about a year ago after seeing bad reviews and have had no problems. One order was held up (for over a month) waiting for something from the supplier but they kept me informed, gave me the option to cancel that item, and all was fine. Several subsequent orders have all arrived very quickly. The vast majority of the bad reviews are years old, so I don't know if they changed management, or business practices, but I've found them very responsive with excellent prices. I do wish the web-site showed stock status, but that's my only complaint.

Zoro might have what you want and you can always check what Trident can get. Also chad has the clearance prices still listed so you may not be able to find anything that cheap.

I usually order Wiha stuff direct from Amazon... But my last order I went with KCTool (from their Amazon storefront) and I had no issues. I ordered last week and received my order today.

As far as bits go... The Wiha bits are excellent. I haven't used the Wera bits so I can't comment...

I've heard some bad juju about that place..

I just got my order from them today. Took 3 weeks to arrive. I had no idea when I ordered that they shipped from Wasilla, AK--where that idiot, Sarah Palin, was governor. Doubtful I will order from them again.

Several months ago I ordered some Wiha drivers from Chad's and they could never get them from their supplier. After a month or more of excuses from them I decided to cancel the order. It was a lot of irritation for nothing. I suggest that you verify that they actually have the items in stock before you order. Personally, I will do my tool buying elsewhere.

Sorry for zombi thread bumping, but only two months right?

Chads stopped carrying Wiha after years of publicly complaining about
carrying Wiha.

Micro-tools has been one of the tried and true vendors for electronics and camera folks. Super reliable. I've placed a lot of one-off orders over the years.
Never needed to, therefore, no comment on contact.

BIG PLUG for KCtools. The owner, Kyle (Hope I got his name right?), is
super hungry for your business and in all of the right ways. My go-to for Wiha. The website is super navigable as well.

Another great Wiha vendor that hasn't been mentioned is Carbide Processors.
Bondhus/Felo dealer as well. Mostly machining tools, otherwise.

I've long felt that Wiha has a problem with distribution compared to Wera.

A large number of outlets, independant and chains, physical and online, carry Wera as a premium screwdriver brand, in some cases as their only premium screwdriver brand. Availability is good and the competition keeps prices down.

It seems that only a few places sell Wiha and the prices are higher.

I have 15 Wera screwdrivers and love them, but I wanted to get Wiha. I prefer the more traditional handle shape of Wiha, and I don't like the Wera lasertip which I regard as a gimmick. But I found Wiha would be quite a bit dearer and harder to get so I went with Wera.

Same with PB Swiss - dearer and harder to get.

And, in the end, my tool buying choices are driven by price and availability as well as quality. There's no point in paying more for a hard-to-get tool unless it is a lot better than the alternatives, and you need that increased quality.

I'd be interested to know what people think of the relative merits of these screwdriver brands. I reckon they're pretty much the same, but my experience of Wiha and PB Swiss is limited compared to Wera.
