Hi Chad,

Just catching up on the past few months of your updates...

Have you tried the clip in pedals? They make a huge difference, I find it takes far less energy.

I always like seeing pics of your black truck, it is a sweet looking 4x4!

Keep up the great progress with the garage, it looks great!

Thanks, I may go for clip in pedals when my shoes wear out. Here is a pic of my truck from Downtown Amarillo Tx.

Finally got around to doing some lake stuff since it decided to warm up.

Decided to add some pavers and some mulch, now I won't have to move the ski to mow under it. Also check out the fence line contouring to the jet ski, I didn't even plan for it, kinda funny how some things just work out.

I haven't done much in the garage the past few months just been hanging out. Today I got some stuff done that has been long over due. My truck has been looking a little sad so I decided to polish her up a bit. I needed a DA polisher so I got this drill driven one. It works really pretty good it polished my headlights and a few scratches out of the paint without a problem, the only thing is the drill gets heavy after a while. I also used the DA to wax the entire truck.

Also got this $2.98 clearance temperature reader, it was blue so a quick shot of spray paint and its all good.

Were also enjoying our new fence and privacy.

Here is the latest. I think I figured out how to post pictures again.

Been fiddling around with my sawhorses and table that is handy.

Also been working on getting ultra organized.

Built this 12x16 carport to work on projects or possibly park a project vehicle in the future.

Realized some changes happened and I do allot of browsing other people’s garages and projects, so I figured I would give an update. I have been really lucky to enjoy my garage and keep improving.

I also acquired a fun Jeep 1998 and had a pretty sweet moment of utilizing my carport as a wash bay.

My family knows my green toolbox as “the toolbox”. It was quite the chore to get it home but everything turned out great.

It’s a extreme tools 72 inch and it is top notch.

I also have a snap-on little toolbox and have been adding tools along the way.

Garage looks great. I may have missed it above but what wall bracket did you use for the mountain bikes?

They are from Amazon, the brand is Venzo, wall mount pedal hangers, they are pretty cool and so far have not had a problem. I was worried my bike would fall off and hit a car but they seem pretty stable so far.

I just noticed the thread as well and was going to ask the same question... will look into the bike hooks, so you feel comfortable with them "above" your vehicle(s)?
thanks!

I feel comfortable enough in the bike racks but I also don’t have real fancy cars so if something happened I wouldn’t loose any sleep.

I had a problem with my Jeep tires poking out to much about half the tire, I also really liked the rims it had but decided to switch to a more stock rim. Bonus is my spare now matches. I still have to paint the hubs black and I have blue lug nuts on the way.

Me and my buddy swapped the tires in his shop and we used beads to balance the tires. So far they seem smoother.

Made some wooden frames for things and painted my atomic clock green in honor of a famous garage journal garage. Also messed around with mounting my vise to the portable kreg table, seems sturdy enough for average tinkering but definitely not for beating on.

Like what you did with the vise. I'll be borrowing that idea!

Drove from Texas to Springfield Mo to the Grizzly store to pick up a wood turning lathe and 14 inch bandsaw. Also got a yellow lab and she is growing fast.

Ended up getting frustrated with my husky floor cabinet being super flimsy and too small. I have always wanted a heavy duty cabinet and pulled the trigger on a Strong-Hold cabinet in white. This thing is heavy and huge 60x24x75.

I have not done much in the garage until this past weekend. A couple weeks ago I went to a vendor market and saw some shelving units but they weren’t for sale. They did however tell me to call back and a couple weeks of being persistent they were able to get me two full shelves worth of parts. Apparently they came from a government auction. I brought them home and the uprights were pretty rough so I decided to paint them. I did screw them to the wall into the studs to prevent tipping. They seem to be pretty heavy duty and the main reason I like these because they are only about a foot deep making them fit well on the side walls of the garage. Also took the top off the Jeep.

Completed some projects around the house adjacent to the garage. Some before and after. I mixed all the concrete by hand trying to get some good workouts in. I would mix about 15 bags each round, splitting it up and put rebar dowels to tie each piece together. kinda found it fun and feel I am getting better.
