Just purchased new house.
Detached garage. There is a chain link fence enclosing the back yard that also encloses the area between garage and house. Current garage does not have a walk door. Planning on installing a walk door within the "fenced" area, so you can walk out the garage, into fenced back yard, and to fenced-in back door on house.
There is a gate in the current chain-link fence with a typical 'tip up' latch that can be padlocked.
I'd like to find a lock that will work on the chain-link fence and allow it to be locked from the outside, without requiring a key. Ideally, it could be opened from the inside without having to enter a code or anything, but if it was code operated from both sides, that would also work. Fence is only 6' tall, so it's possible to scale it. For that reason, this doesn't have to be the highest security, but I'd like it to work effectively to keep the fence locked.
In a perfect world, it would work with a Smartthings system and allow wireless monitoring and unlocking.
Thoughts?
