planning to purchase a lift in the next week or two. looking at the cl10v3 from challenger and the xpr10 from bendpak. I am wondering if directspot from challenger is really all its cracked up to be. They claim that with a symetrical lift you need to drive the vehicle past its lifting position to swing the front arms under the vehicle, then back the car up to its proper lifting position. Does anyone have some insight on this, is this really the case on most vehicles or is it true only one very short wheelbase cars?

Is the cl10v3 worth the extra $900, when all you really get is the name plus directspot?

We had a Mohawk where I use to work. When placing a short wheel base car, a person would have to move the vehicle backward and forward to position the arms. It was a PIA. I'm considering a Challenger versamatic for my garage.
