Challenger SA10 Questions

I have been lurking on here for a while but it’s finally time to create a posting. I recently moved into a new house that had a “budget” 9000lb baseplate two post lift installed. Long story short I found out that the installers/previous owner ignored the minimum floor requirements (only 3-1/4” non-reinforced under the one post. Other side was closer to 4”) when the concrete cracked while I was lifting my truck. Thankfully the truck wasn’t completely off the ground yet. I took the lift down that day and sold it. I then had a 6ft x 17ft x 12” deep pad poured with 4000psi concrete and a ton of rebar that also tied into the old slab (pretty much followed the bendpak new slab requirements). I wanted an ALI certified symmetric lift so I ordered a new Challenger SA10 (my ceiling is 143” at that point and the SA10 is 142.5”) that should be here in a couple weeks. I will be lifting my 2018 F250 CCSB and my wife’s Accord. My questions on the SA10 for anyone who has one are:

1. Can the power column be mounted on either side? The manual doesn’t mention this and only shows it on the right side in the diagrams.

2. Any issues or tricks to getting short wheelbase cars on the lift?

3. How did you run power to the lift? I am planning on running conduit down the column from the ceiling to a 30amp switch by the controls and then using flexible metal conduit to make the final run to the motor.

Thanks!

Edit: Besides the OBSURD price for a turf kit from challenger or redline, does anyone have a good way to lift their zero turn mower? I have a Deere Z930m so worst case I could probably use the truck frame engaging adapters to get under the frame.

To follow up on this, I was able to email the Challenger rep for my area about the power column positioning. He told me that the power column cannot be swapped and must remain on the right side. I also read some good information on here about short wheelbase cars. If they are too short, I can always pull ahead and swing the front arm under the car then back up to get the rear arm under. I'm still a bit up in the air on how to best run power to the lift, but I will definitely be installing a 30amp switch on the power column to act as a disconnect in the event that something ever went wrong.

I have the LE10. I also wanted the controls on the left side so I called them and they told me the lift arms can be reversed front to back. That allowed me to also reverse the posts to put the controls where I wanted them.
The shortest car I've had on it was a 450SL and I had no problems.

For power, I ran 10 Gauge BX from the ceiling, along the post to the motor.

Hope this helps

Does the LE10 have the 3 stage front arms like the SA10? I looked at the VLE10 before I purchased the SA10, but my ceiling height is only 11’11” so I didn’t have much choice.

Hey CRF250Rider, the Challenger SA10 is on my list of contenders as well. How has the lift been working out for you? Anything you really like or dislike about it? Also, how close to the edge of the concrete and/or control joints did you mount it?
