Challenger SA10

Hi all, I've been trying to narrow down a 2 post lift to buy there's a guy locally that is going to sell me a challenger sa10 and can have it installed by tomorrow my question is has anybody had any bad experience with this lift or any experience. I will be lifting mainly cars but I do have a 3/4 ton 2500 HD Duramax that I will be doing maintenance on whenever it needs it any info appreciated

Challenger makes perfectly good lifts and is a perfectly reputable company. It sounds like your local guy has one in stock and is on the ball if he can install it tomorrow. It should easily lift all of the vehicles you listed. If you are good with price, Id say go for it.

I have an older challenger model 39000. Its 22 years old still works great.

I have a Challenger SA10 no problems to date. I have a Ford F250 Crew Cab Diesel that it picks up without issues. Whenever I have that long of a truck I always use a stand in the front and rear just to make it more stabile.

Did you set yours up symmetric or asymmetric , im thinking of setting mine up symmetric

Regarding symmetric vs asymm I’d recommend comparing the minimum arm lengths vs the cars you plan to lift. My case may be different from yours but I was ready to get an sa10 and I had to install symmetric with my positioning but the rear arms were too long to fit my Boxster and 944 (short 50:50 weight distribution cars) lift points. I switched to a rotary lift which had shorter min length arms. Good luck.

Oh I was just looking at the SA10 and I have a 944 as well. Do you think it would have worked in the wide configuration? It’s lucky you figured out it wouldn’t work before you had it installed.
