Challenger VS10 install, can I get some input?

Hello everyone.

I am about to install a Challenger VS 10 lift and I have a couple questions. Should I use 3/4 x 5.5" anchors? It says nothing in the install manual about what size. Is Simpson an acceptable brand? It is going on a fairly new and level 4" concrete floor.

How far do I need to keep it from the front (or back) wall? 12? I will be lifting a Chevy van and possibly a Ford E350 box van with a 10' box and extended cab GMC 2500 pickups. I intend to install symetrically as wide as possible which I think is about 136". Can I put vehicles on it both forward and backwards or just in one direction? How far do I need to keep the post from the nearest immobile object on the side? I kinda have to keep it as far to the right as possible and that is the side with the immovable object I have to deal with and the 10' door is already going to be off center....

My CL10V3 came with the anchors and what they should be torqued to, may want to call them with that question.

For lifting, you will want the vehicle centered on a symmetrical, meaning all the weight is in the center. Lift it up about 3" off the ground and do a bounce test. I rarely back a vehicle onto a lift, just feels weird but can be done.

For location, I'd have to see your floor layout. I would want as much space to work around as possible.

I have plenty of room fore and aft. The bay is 40' long It is the right side that is the issue, there are some pallets racks that can't be moved, and the door is pretty far to the right of the building. There is probably 2 feet between the door and the side of the building. The pallet racking is 32" wide

Everybody says give yourself room to pull out an axle shaft, but honestly, axle shafts are not very long. My lift is pretty wide, so really, if it touched the wall it would still be far enough away from the wall.

Keep the lift far enough off the walls so you can "work" around it. "Work" meaning walking, carrying large items and rolling a tool box or welder between the column and the wall. 3' in my book is minimum. 4' is better. Being able to walk around the column when a vehicle is only partway up is a good thing.
