I'm practically in their backyard and we can't find any examples like that around here. My best guess is that most of the older tools were heavily used in the industrial expansion in the area and worn out.

That is a rare one. Most of my Champion deArment hammer heads just have the name spelled out. I do have an early pipe wrench with that logo that is shown on the thread linked above.
