Buried in the plier drawer of my tool box, I found these old carpenters' pincers. I had never given them any thought before, but I wanted to research them. First off, I had no idea they were carpenters' pincers until I went through very old catalogs on the International Tool Catalog Library. The only marking is "Champion" on one of the handles. I know that early in Channellock's history, the company was called Champion, before it was renamed to Champion deArment in 1926 I believe. After looking through old catalogs from before the 1920's, I found many similar tools, but none marked or advertised as "Champion". Is this an early Champion deArment tool, or is this perhaps another "Champion"?20230423_093433.jpg20230423_093441.jpg20230423_093449.jpg

The Mfgr list has many Champion brands, but your first shot may be the best.
