I was given a "broken" generator (champion 46511) that had been sitting in a shed for years and was gonna get tossed. Fast forward I took the carb out and tossed it in my ultrasonic and now its working again. This thing is a PITA to move around so I am looking for a wheel kit, my model requires a kit with a axle for the wheels since it does not have brakets. Was curious if there was a cheaper better DIY route to take.

Are you sure it needs an axle? I goggled that model and the wheel kit doesn't show one It shows the wheels bolted through the frame. My gen and most other small generators are done this way. Wheel kits are $40-$50. Adding wheels will require raising the other end to keep it level and a handle to pull with. Another alternative is using a moving dolly like HF sells cheap. The small castors won't roll on grass easily but will do fine on hard surfaces.

Yeah I have double checked that its a model that requires an axle as per the manual. Mine does not have the brackets. I guess one of those dollys from HF would work for moving it around the garage but ultimately would just wanna get a wheel kit and be done. I guess I could get crafty and cut some stock and make my own axle with some of the large tires from HF then make some front feet to match the size tire I go with

Yep, I have a 4000 watt Northern Tools gen and having wheels + handle to drag it around makes it way easier. Good luck.
