Short Version: Is the RPM to CFM ratio the same on the 2 versions of the R15?
Long Version: I am putting together a compressor for my little garage & in the space that I want it in, a horizontal 30 gallon is what I need. But I also have a blast cabinet & DA sanders so I need lots of air as well. I have been watching for months for a horizontal 30 gallon & finally found a complete compressor for 250 with a GD BVA head & 1 horse motor and 200psi receiver. Sold the pump & motor for 50 each leaving me the receiver for 150. So on to the next part.
I have a lead on a late 70's Champion Compressor with an R15A pump (guy sent me a pic of the plate with it etched in), 7.5hp 3 Phase motor w/ magnetic starter & 80 gallon receiver. I would part it out & sell the Motor & receiver tank this time & should only be out around 100 for the pump. So before I drive an hour to look at it I tried finding specifics for what I can do with a 5hp motor (dont have a motor yet & due to the limited space I would like to avoid a magnetic starter) and everything I find is specific to the R15B.
