What is it in? Are there controls for the motor besides an on/off switch? Safety interlock?

Electrical specs or motor performance specs? You're going from 3 phase to single phase so if the motor horsepower & rpm are the same, the electrical specs can't be. If the electrical specs are the same- i.e. same voltage & amperage draw, but just not 3 phase, the motor performance won't be the same...

Gotcha. I misread your first post. Didn't see the hp was the same. Hard to say without seeing a wiring diagram, but realistically all you should need to change would be the switch.

you will need to compare the current draw of the two motors. if the difference in current is wide enough you may need to change the wiring and contactor sizing. you will need to change any overload relays to something that will protect the motor correctly. a diagram and some pics would help
I am replacing a 220v 3ph motor with a 220v 1ph motor what all do I need to rewire, the HP, frame and specs are the same
The specs could no way be the same.
The 1ph motor draws considerably more current than does the 3ph with the same HP rating. That being said, any and all components supplying and controlling the electricity to that motor would need to be upgraded accordingly. Switches, wiring, relays, overload protection, breakers etc. would all have to be re-evaluated to insure they can safely carry the additional current the new motor will impose.

You'll need bigger wire for the 1-phase motor.
You can use the old starter from the old motor as long as it is still within range.You'll have to change the overloads, and just use legs A&B.
It's probably easier to just get a new single-phase starter/switch.
