A few years ago I restored a late 1950's Gilbarco (Texaco) gas pump to display in front of the garage. The weather was starting to beat the poor guy up so I was lucky enough to find this replacement. It's a late 1950's Bennett pump and it was only $100. I didn't refurbish it like the others, this time I performed a budget build so if it gets beat up from the weather I won't be so concerned. I fabricated the missing bottom panel, brush painted it then distressed it (since the metal's in rough shape to begin with) and then I used polycarbonate plastic for the missing back window. Added some vinyl, a few Sinclair signs, and a reproduction globe. I illuminated it with warm white LED's and wahlah, the replacement is done!
