Channellock 360 and 360CB Pliers

Some of you guys have the Channellock 360 pliers, but does anyone have the new 360CB pliers yet?

Are the grips more comfortable than the regular 360 pliers?

Does anybody have anything at all to say about these pliers?

Perhaps somebody will say the Pearson Welpers are 10 times better?

I don't have any welding pliers, but do have Channellock long nose and diagonal cutters in both plain blue grips and the Code Blue grips. I really like the standard blue grips, I like the Code Blue better. Larger handles to grip and more cushion without being squishy.

Also have the combination pliers in Code Blue. They are awesome for my general needs.

I've got the Welpers and the 360's. Both are nice, the Welper's have a similar grip shape to the code blue's except they are harder rubber/plastic material. The overall size of the Channelocks are bigger, not by a whole lot though.

Not really sure there would be an advantage to the code blue's in this case given you'd likely be wearing heavier gloves so the squishy-ness is not really felt.

I had ordered the 360 from Harry Epstein, but I ended up with the 360CB. Not a big deal, but I would have preferred the normal vinyl grips. Just doesn't feel quite right and a bit bulky.

I'm not typically a fan of two-component plier handles (although there are exceptions - I am a huge fan of my NWS grips). None of the Code Blue stuff I've handled has changed my mind on that, I remain a big fan of the classic blue vinyl dipped handles.

Really like the pliers, though. I'm not sure there's all that big of a differentiating factor in welding pliers, but I've like them so far (I'm an occasional user, FWIW).

Agreed...I'm not a fan of the really bulky grips on pliers.

I have the regular 360's myself and they're just fine the way they are.

I've owned several CB tools over the years. The CB handles feel nice, but I had issues with them coming loose off the handles under heavy use, which made them feel really cheap when I was using them. We all know how irritating it is to use cheapo pliers where the grips are sliding off all the time when you use them.

Most other high end "comfort grip" pliers I have used did not have this problem (klein, knipex, wiha)

Whenever hand tools have more rubber,vinyl, what not than needed I always find they loosen up over time if you put any real torque to them. I like the thin regular channel lock style grips on whatever tool it is.
