Recently began utilizing a Channellock 428 while supporting hospital facilities maintenance. Has anyone found the 428 a worthy substitute for the Channellock 420?

Positives:
Compact and fits the hand well
SAFE-T-STOP

Differences:
One less adjustment position
Slightly smaller capacity
Shorter handles and smaller capacity prove difficult on plumbing 1-1/4" slip-joint nuts

Although I haven't used them the design of those seems a little off putting to me. I typically gravitate towards Knipex even though I have several Channnelock pliers as well as many other brands.

I have and use the 428, but the situation will dictate. I have all of the sizes, but I carry and use most the 420. I would not consider the 428 a viable substitute for everyday use, at least in my trade.
