So I found these at lowes at lunch for $5.95, said they had two pairs, OK I ordered one for an instore pickup on the way home. Got my confirmation email, lady even called said that they had it ready. Stopped by on the way home. No where to be found. I guess the $10.19 ain't too bad, but the shipping factor kinda blows. Anyone know any tricks for the shipping without prime? I'm thinking these may be handy for cutting welding cable?

buy $14.81 in other things... I am sure there is something from amazon that you would buy at a local store anyways for the same price or less, look at the grocery section.

I'm on the fence on this. Normally I would jump on this, but that fact that you can only cut soft aluminum and copper makes then not very useful to me. I wish you could also cut small gauge steel with them as well.

Me to, But I think they will cut PVC and hose fine. I all ready have a PCV cutter for that but for the price you should pick up one or two.

dang...I just bought 5 more at 5.10 each. 9 left at that time, minus the 5 I bought.

Got my first 2 in the mail yesterday. Good stuff.

Came up @ $5.10 for me still, but Delivery estimate: November 14, 2013 - November 27, 2013
Grabbed some Channellock 528 8-Inch Slip Joint Plier for $6.99, not stellar, but still good price for a tool I need.

My $10 one will be here today as well. My order for 5 of them at $5 each still shows as not canceled. Maybe they wont cancel a prime order. Either way I don't know what I will do with 6 of them. I would certainly trade them if someone is interested.

I see the Channellock 958 wire stripper is $10.99, anyone know if that is worth it?

It's been $10-11 for over a year so that is not a deal. Looks to me like a very basic wire stripper. I have the larger model and it's good.

Dang, I guess it pays to be a prime member. Out of curiosity did anyone that purchased them earlier get a refund due to the lower price?

IDK, I hardly use amazon due to the shipping costs. :dunno: Probably give them a call. Are you a prime member Dave?

I'll give them a call. Yes, I am a PRIME member, and, at least for me, it is TOTALLY worth it. I get free 2 day shipping on almost everything. And I use it A LOT!!!

Things I buy regularly...

Printer paper, printer toner/ink, 3 tab file folders, rechargeable batteries, dry food, toilet paper, paper towels, soaps for bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, shampoo, conditioner, sponges, rubber things for my bluetooth, 12v chargers, gps gadgets, memory cards, pens, pencils,

That's just everyday type of stuff, not to mention all the buy once items for camping, hiking, 4by, vehicles, oh yea-dashmats for the trucks recently, watch battery,

It's usually cheaper on Amazon, (I research), but it gets shipped to my door. No wasting time driving and standing in line etc....I'm a busy dude, so my time is worth something.

That Prime $75 more than pays for itself. I probably do $10-15k in Amazon per year. meh...maybe a little less.

And when I'm at the grocery store, i pull my phone out, and if cheaper on Amazon, I buy it on my phone. Walk out of the B/M store with only the cheaper items and cold food type stuff.

They denied my price adjustment request for the first pair I bought too. Maybe if I had ordered 4 @5 they would have adjusted, but who knows.

O I didn't get any, I tried, but "Your order has been canceled, item is out of stock" after it went through. I was just curious if they were honoring the very short term price for those that bought them at $10. I bet that $5 was a mistake somewhere along the lines, seeing as how it only lasted a few hours. :dunno:

Just received my oil filter pliers, cable cutters and 8" slip joint pliers. Good prices, thanks OP.

I'm normally not a fan of slip joint pliers, but at this price, I figured I'd pick up a pair to keep in the house for multi-tasking.
