I was looking around for some new tool sets and I came across the Channellock sets on e-bay, are they any good?.....I'm assuming they're made in China or Taiwan because I didn't see USA anywhere on the box.

I have that set for my truck as emergency tools. Works well enough. Ratchets are large and heavy compared to most. Tools seem strong enough, with decent quality.

I have an older set that I have had for a long time and really like. Seems like pretty good stuff. I recently had the 3/8 ratchet replaced under warranty. They gave me a newer style than the original. The original was nice and smooth, the new one is very much garbage. The mechanism is very coarse and quite loud. I have not been inside the set you are looking at, but if all three ratchets operate the same as the new one I received and the picture looks like it, I would pass on the whole thing. These sets are made by Allied Tools http://www.alliedtools.com/, warranty was straight forward though.

My friend has a set, have used them a few time, pretty decent tools, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a set. One cool thing is that at least in his set all of the sockets are 6 point, not something you often see in lower end tool sets.
