Nope, never seen a channellock splitting maul.
here's my take, Channellock branded tools are divided into two categories. The first consists of US made Pliers, Screwdrivers, & adjustable wrenches. Things that Channellock actually makes aside from their screwdrivers which I believe are Pratt-Reed sourced.
The second category is Channellock Products which is mostly imported stuff from socket sets to shop vacs and everything in between. This is stuff isn't made by Channellock. It's a product line Channellock sold their name to.
I think companies license products to enhance brand recognition but, sometimes I'm not sure some of the things branded Channellock enhances the brand
