Anyone have any experience with Channelock's precision screwdrivers? I'm in need of another set for a road bag, and these look nice for the money.

FWIW, I have a set of Whia's, so that's what my baseline for comparison would be. I just don't want to spend Whia money, and it appears these handles would allow for an easier grip than Whia's. Made in USA is an added bonus.

I added that set to a Tool Discounter order also for a road box. Have not used them yet. They are as solid as any other Pratt Read.

In the house I have Klein and Felo in the precision drivers. Like them both better than Wiha precision. For full size screwdrivers Wiha is hard to beat. About the only full step up would be Snap-on. IMHO.

Not for precision screwdrivers, I bought a set and they were junk. I returned them and bought another set of wiha drivers. So far I haven't used anything better than the wiha precision drivers but I haven't tried the pb swiss drivers yet.

I wouldn't say they are junk but they don't do anything more than a 10.00 dollar set would do.

I dont have this set but I do have the channelock 61A multibit driver with the same acetate handles. If I didnt already have a set of drivers I would go full on channelock set just for those handles.

IMO, precision drivers should have a spin top. But if you don't utilize the spin top on your current Wihas then why not try out the Channellocks and report back? Worst case scenario you wasted the equivalent of fast food lunch money.

At HD last week I saw a Klein a 4-tip precision now for about $10 as well. The handle looks a little bit like the Felo handle I use with Wiha System 4 blades and American-made "Wiha" 4mm blades, but not quite as well contoured for finger spinning as the Felo handle. The bolstered Felo handle is much more comfortable to me than Wiha's tapering handle.

I did not look deeply enough to check if bit storage capabilities or COO, because they use proprietary bits rather than standard 4mm hex. So they failed my personal usefulness threshold. But if you only need the basics it might be worth looking at as well.

I would just look for a deal on the 12-pc Wera set in a roll-pouch, though...
