How long do you think it might be before you have the 1/4" Drive Socket Adpt. Stubby Screwdrivers back in stock? I'm looking to order one for each 1/4" socket set. Thanks

Thanks for the heads up! I've been looking at Chapman bits for some time, but never could bring myself to buy a set, as the sets either are missing things I want, or sell me things I don't want.

But in looking at the site, I realized that they sell everything a la carte. So I've picked up a couple of stubby handles, and all of the bits I was wanting in the first place.

Hi, the 1/4" socket adapters and 2MM's are back in stock, but we only have a few of each. The star/torx are running low as well. I also put the short 2" extension (3" OAL length") back in stock. I would order soon because they're going quick!

What parts were you looking for, and what do you work on? Maybe there's a need for a set that we're not filling. Any feedback is appreciated!

I'd pay for a master set of each bit type (sae, metric, Torx, flat and Phillips, security, basically every bit and size you make) with the driver handle and ratchet (in a desert tan case if I get to be picky). I already have the 7331 set and can give a hands-on compliment about the finish, the fit, and the utility features like locking in and the knurled ends for fingers.

If a molded case isn't a possibility for this kind of master set, it would be ok to just use the synthetic bit holders or even have some kind of metal stand/rack for desktop storage/use.

So that's my Christmas list. Pretty please.

Just ordered a few things myself. They did me an awesome custom order years ago. I needed longer bit extensions 12" and 18", they custom made them for me for a very fair price. Still use them everyday.

I hope to come out with something very similar to what you're looking for before Christmas, please see the photo. It's a new tray for the Master set case that holds 104 bits (13 racks/8 bits each). It's a more modular set up, so you can leave out a rack and insert a ratchet, extension, or leave out 2/3 for a screwdriver handle. It'll be yellow or orange, not the black you see in the photo.

Pureleaf: Thanks, I know no one likes to pay for shipping, our prices just cover our costs, we don't make anything on them.

I ordered one of each and every one of your slotted hollow ground bits, plus an assortment of things to turn them. Mainly as an insurance policy against damaging old slotted screws.

But I don't think it would be good to model a set after my purchases, as I was more looking to compliment what bits and tools I already owned. Otherwise, the 9600 set would cover all that (though I also ordered #91 and #92), but by ordering it custom, I got a few more options that fit my needs, and was able to skip some I already had covered.

For example, I really like the idea of the set screw locking extensions. When dealing with old, fragile, and valuable slotted screws, a wobbly bit just adds to the pucker factor. I'm hoping this gets me closer to the feel of a solid shaft hollow ground driver, but with easily replaceable tips, that fits in less drawer space.

Understood about the bits. It's funny, only a small minority of our customers like the set screws, which is why we stopped using them in all the sets. However, in certain applications like really fragile screws or for us reaching deep down into a machine where retrieving a dropped bit/extension would be difficult they do make sense.

Exactly. I too think they would be more of an annoyance than not in most cases, but I have a special purpose for this set in mind.

Anyway, it arrived yesterday, and I am quite happy with everything I see.

close. I would ditch the handle, the spinner and add an extension of at least 2 inches in that kit. and put all the bits in a rack without the yellow soft case. Most people carry a bag of some sort with other things in it, tube, repair kits etc. and you want it as compact and light as possible. then use the wrap to wrap the 3 together. light and compact. thats my 2 cents.

Lets see, if you ordered the parts individually it'd actually be a couple bucks more because our sets are discounted. Maybe we need to come out with an alternate bike set? If you want to order, let me know and I'll discount it. I developed that set with the help of many people on another forum, and there was major contention about including the handle. In the end they decided that they'd rather have it leave at home or wherever than not have it.
