Charles Paker 973A Swivel Bolt

I just got a Chas Parker 973A. It is missing the swivel lock bolt and wrench. Can I get any info on thread size of the bolt? I mite have to just run a bolt down the hole to keep it from swiveling unless there might be a parts house with the bolt though I'm thinking it might be pretty pricey. Thanks in advance for any help with this issue.

You don‘t really need an exact factory part to lock the swivel. A proper sized bolt and nut will do the trick.

Is there any chance that vise is made mostly out of Aluminum?

Thanks for the response, I'm not really sure what all it is made of, the threads look like they could be aluminum but I'm not positive, it weight about 30lbs. I'm trying to get the info on the proper bolt size and thread type. Thanks again

The factory original swivel lock is a lot different than a bolt and nut. In order to keep that vise from swiveling, just get a short bolt that fits the hole and run a nut down on top. Measure the hole and look through your stash of hardware or go the the store. I’d guess half inch would be close.

The owner of that vise said it was made mostly from aluminum.

I include a picture of a Parker 973 showing the factory original swivel lock. There is a special wrench and a special nut with a retainer ring on it to prevent loss of the wrench.
