Hi everybody.I am new to this site.I am so glad that I'm not the only tool junky. Especially Snap On and anything else made in the USA. Anyhow,I was given a vise that was on its way to the dumpster. It is a Charles Parker with what I assume is the date of manufacture-1926.I put it on a scale and this thing weighs 95 lbs.Damn!

I have a Chas Parker 654 C
Any idea the weight?....roughly

This database has an amazing amount of information on old vises:

http://https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sHFRfY_DFXMz6bFeeYI7UKRpUd3aheAE86KBQRBGb9s/edit#gid=666157805

Your vise is listed, but there are no specifications entered. It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide measurements, and the weight, if possible. Send the data to KMScott. (That is his user name on Garage Journal. Many people refer to him as "Dr. Scott"--a Master of all Vises).
