I just made these so I can move chassis or bodies around the shop when needed. I was going to weld everything, but decided to make them partly bolt together so I could reconfigure them when needed to different heights and widths. The adjustable perches are re-purposed from an old lift, they screw into a 1-3/8 nut welded to channel that slides in the top rail. The flat pads are made with tire tread from the recap shop which is the space I’m using for my shop.

They are 48” wide and about 22” tall in the current configuration.

They haven’t failed in the first 3 days of use, so I think I’m home free…

Those are solid bud, nice job. The only thing I would have done different is move the casters to the extreme outside so it would help stabilize them a little better. I figure you're working on offroad builds with fairly high center of gravity loads. So that would help them from possibly getting a little tipsy........which I doubt would happen.

That was a consideration to the point I had the casters tacked and tested in both spots, but could really tell any difference. I have them under the load area which seems super solid.

maybe on the next set, thanks for the props.

If it was me I would add some tubes so I could slide tubes I tothem to connect both of them together. Depending on what you are moving it will make it less likly for them to shift verses the body that is on them

The shop floor is pretty smooth, I pushed it around some and they shouldn't move independently..but I see your point. I thought I over engineered them as it is...that's why it take forever to build something with too much help..LOL
