Just won a brand new Chassisear & Comboear on ebay this evening for the grand total of £50:thumbup: . I think it will be useful to try & diagnose some odd clunks & knocks that are coming from the front of my old Golf. (if not I'm sure I can sell it & get my money back:) )

Anyone else have any experience of using this diagnostic tool?

No experience with a chassis ear yet, but have you checked the following?

* Balljoints
* Inner & Outer tie-rod ends
* Sway-bar end links & bushings
* Spring seats (Take a wrench or socket and try to turn the large nut coming up through the inner fender at the center of the top of the strut. It should be springy - if it spins freely, it's bad).

:confused:
