After lurking around here for about a year, gathering as much knowledge as possible, I started on my pole barn/garage/mancave back in April 2011. Now, almost 9 months later, it's "done"! At least done enough to finally be able to pull my 67 Mustang Fastback in there this past Sunday!!! Next project is to start on my 48 Ford Truck Ratrod. I bought it last January, and quickly realized that I needed a place to work on it, other than my attached garage. So I got sidetracked for the last 9 months building my 24x54 building.

I had a 12x16 shed, that needed the roof replaced, so I decided to remove the roof, and use the good part as part of my pole barn/garage.

I have no clue as to who all I've ripped off ideas from, but thanks for everyone's knowledge. Before I started this, I had never even heard of a gurt.... Anyhow, here's a few pictures of before, during and after.

The same guys that set the poles and put on the roof, now came back out and did all of the metal siding...

Nice set up! We just spent weeks looking at houses in Pittsboro. The wife and I love that area. Sadly we couldn't find what we were looking for.

Turbowoodworker - Come to Pittsboro on April 27, at the old Chevy dealership(15-501 north), and come to the Motors for Music Car Show. I'm helping put it on for the high school marching band, and will have my 67 in there.
