cheap flashlights at meijer

stopped at my local Meijer Thrifty Acres, in the clearance aisle are plain old 2 D-cell flashlights for .82 each. kicker is they come with batteries included. bought six, so for <$5 I got 6 flashlights, and 12 d-cell batteries...can't even buy the batteries for that...I know they are not fancy LED or anything, but nice to have a few spares stashed around the house just in case. the batteries are sealed so you have to take off the sticker so they'll work and not just drain.

not a killer deal but thought I'd post...ymmv.

Ok got ganked. Only 1 d cell battery and they are led...hf freebies are much brighter...

My wife bought a couple. Not bad for less than a dollar.

we bought a bunch of Meijer flashlight closeouts a month or so back and donated them to a local community that had just been hit by a tornado.
