Cheap garage/shop sink

Bought this at IKEA for a hundred bucks without the fixture. Purchased the place next door and removed the washer/dryer stack unit in the garage and replaced it with this.

I think sometimes the stuff at IKEA will be hard to retrofit, because they're sized metric or European, and domestic stuff may-not fit. Did you have trouble finding a sink, since I believe that would be the 'fixture' to-which you're referring, or is that the faucet? I suppose if you had an issue finding something that would work, you would have probably mentioned it, so it came-out OK?

My friend just built and sold a luxury spec-home in Durango CO, and has returned to FL. He's in Melbourne now.

Sink included, faucet extra. I can understand issues trying to fit IKEA stuff into an existing design. However, we’ve done a number of remodel/retrofit projects from scratch and IKEA makes it easy.

Looks really good, but you forgot the trap on the drain.

It's a stand alone shed. I think it drains to daylight.

The sink in my shop goes out the wall and doesn't have a trap, as the shop isn't always heated in the winter. I have to heat-tape my water lines from the floor to the water spout so they don't freeze.

I was planning on a $139 free standing 24” stainless restaurant sink.

I like that sink. Did it come as a top and sink combo ?

There is one thing you may want to consider and that's the old dryer outlet, probably a 30 amp 240V. I believe by code, anything within 6' of a sink/water is supposed to be a GFCI. I'd hate to see you post again about cleaning something and it(or splashing water) hit that outlet and you get "knocked on your ***."
