anyone have a favorite source for industrial style lighting? looking for galvanized or something similar. 24x24 w/ 10' ceiling height pole construction. no finish inside, covered in vinyl siding/shingles so interior is all wood (which I like).

I can find suppliers that sell things that LOOK industrial but are really just overpriced fashion statements.

Craig's List would be my 1stplace to look.

A lot of industrial / commercial stuff is being changed out to improve efficiency. For a "Hobby Shop", those older fluorescents work just fine for as little as they will be used. Lots of days, sunlight is all I need in my shop.

New industrial lighting is really expensive when compared to residential lighting. If money is not an object, then the big brands are Hubbell, Eaton, Acuity, Holophane, GE, and Philips. Be aware that 10' ceilings are probably not high enough for these types of lights to be effective. Find a local electrical supplier for details on these.
That said, I see lots and lots of industrial fixtures that have been removed from manufacturing facilities as they move to more energy efficient types. These show up on ebay and craig's list, but they are so trendy right now that I've seen 40 year old corroded fixtures go for prices HIGHER than brand new ones.
Good luck.
