I needed to put up some temporary lights in my workshop-undr-construction and came up with an idea for really inexpensive, easy to string up temporary lighting.

Costco sell String lights that contain 24 standard base sockets. These are normally $50, but frequently go on sale for $35. They are intened to be used with the included 11W incandescent bulbs which are pretty, but do not produce a lot of light. Costco also sells 1500 lumen 5000K LED bulbs in 10 packs for $35. Tue bulbs are 15Watts, just a little bigger than the bulbs that come with the string lights. Combine these items, and for a little over $100, you can put together a light sting that puts out 30,000 lumens along its 48 foot length! A half dozen cup hooks will hold it in place and the whole string only draws 300W.

Sounds like a good deal. I know the string of lights you are talking about. How long will they be in use.

When I worked in the steel mill they strung lights similar to these for temporary lights.
