I stopped at my local Goodwill today. I was looking for a new keyboard (and found one) but browsing around the store I found they had a rack of new 4 foot 5000K LED shop lights for $6.99 each. 
I bought some to replace the dim fluorescents in my basement workshop and they're pretty nice. They're some generic brand and 5000K is a little whiter than I prefer, but for the price I can't complain. I may go back for more, to hang elsewhere in the basement and out in the garage.
