Found this on CL. And of course I'm on shift at the firestation so jumping in the truck and hauling *** over there is not an option. I just text the guy and he still has it as I'm typing this. Anyone recognize it? I'm waiting on more info from the seller. $150......

Looks like some kind of 2nd operation lathe from the turret. Not sure about the make, but I don't know too much about these things. Depending on what you're trying to do, the capacity might be enough. If it was in decent shape I'd be on it for $150. Good luck!

That is a production lathe. I do not see lead screw so you may not have threading capabilities, I do not see a compound or a tail stock so as far as having an Engine Lathe that is used for general work, this is not the tool. If your a newb to lathes then this is not the lathe for you. If you have production goals this could be for you.

Small sized production machine
Can still be used for some basic home machining
Look for it to be worn as it is a production machine
To me I would get it for $100 assuming it works
For that you can learn something and part it out or convert it to something else later

I do see a lead screw, but who knows what gearing is available for threading purposes...

I'd be very leary for both condition and tooling at any price...

WWII late for production parts. It is well used and in rough condition. It is not a good all around late and I would leave it alone. I would not haul it home. I buy and sell tools and machinery. I would not want to put time into cleaning or fixing it up to resell at any price. Is I get older trying to make a dollar is not worth all the work of moving it.

It is a turret late for drilling, countersinking, counter bore and other operations. Keep looking.

Not sure what remains, but looks to me like someone took a WW2 era bench lathe (or at least the bed) and shop-built a turret lathe. Quite a lot of square plate and strange design there, but IMHO way too much. You can buy a better condition Hardinge Chucker for less, and might actually be able to use it!
