My local tool store is getting rid of all their Wright tools and bringing in a cheaper offshore tool line. Im very disappointed. Summitt tools. The Wright tools never flew off the shelf but they never advertised them either for some reason. Due to this site and reviews I started buying them and using them in the heavy equipment business
Over the past few years Ive bought
A metric set of 1/2 impacts, 13 to 32 mm, impacted the hell out of them, holding up great.
Replaced my most frequently used sockets with Wright, in various drive sizes.
Number 3430? 3/8 ratchet in a 1/4 body, great little ratchet.
Full 3/4 drive set, 3/4 to 1 7/8 impacts
3/4 drive ratchet, breaker bar, extensions. Hung off the end of both with 8 ft snipes, no problem. (im 230-240lbs).
I had a bolt that wouldn't budge with the 3/4 impact, 1 7/16 head (D7 Cat cutting edge)so out came the big 1 inch (2400 ft lbs) impact. with a 1 inch to 3/4 adapter it pounded for a bit and took the bolts off. The wright socket was a 3/4 drive 12 pt chrome, (its all I had at the time)never slipped or cracked. It earned its keep that day. Tough tools for sure.
Satin metric and std Wright grip wrenches. The best gripping and most comfortable (least painfull) wrenches Ive come across.
And recently 4425, 15in 1/2 drive and the standard 4426 1/2 drive 10in ratchets which are second to none in quality.
Just frustrates me when people choose cheap offshore junk to replace top quality tools, terrible, I wont be going back to that store.
