Got me some Hanson socket trays and ive got some gaps to fill. So what's cheaper? Buying them one by one or in sets?

I think set will be suitable for you because if you buy one by one then It'll increase your cost and in the case of the sets you can saving much money because it reduces the cost.

wel i only need 10-15 to fill all the gaps. So i dont need sets although im sure that would be cheaper. And i dont worry with buying truck brand sockets, i just buy craftsman

For example, with the 299 piece Craftsman set, full retail for individual sockets would be about $1,600. That set can be had for under $300 when it goes on a really good sale. Discounts for smaller sets are typically much lower than that, but still cheaper than buying individuals. But there's no discount on any sets from the trucks.

It's almost always cheaper to buy sockets in sets.
I'll only buy individual sockets to replace lost sockets or for a specific need such as something oddball.

Yeah, when does that CMan set go on sale for $300? I might be forced to eat Ramen noodles for a month if I ever saw them for that price.

If all you need is about a dozen, check local swap meets or flea markets. I have a local vendor that sells alot of new sockets in singles. If they are broke or chrome chipped thats fine. Just warranty them at sears

I find singles in the pawn shop or flea market. Some I have picked up here. I also wonder why you have to fill the tray? Are you missing tools that prevent you from doing the job or just looking for symetery?
