Found their site on Facebook, with stores in Howell NJ and Brooklyn NY. Nice source for SK, Gearwrench, Titan, Channelock, Sunex and many more. Flate rate shipping and only $12 to join the Member Club which provides huge discount. I am headed to the NJ store tomorrow, will let you guys know if it's worth it.

Eppy's is a good store, live local so its my go to place when I need something right now. Only brick and mortar store I know of that carries nothing but tools. Prices aren't bad, sure you can probably find most stuff cheaper on line if you look around, but for me when you factor in shipping time and cost its worth going there. they're also good with warranties, I've only had to do a few SK and Channellock pieces over the years buy never had a problem . If you're in the area stop in, well worth it.

I am in the Edison area and it seems to be the only place that sells higher end tools, so for me it's worth the ride to Howell...and like you the shipping and wait time saved is worth paying a little more and helping the local economy.

Im like 15 mins away from the howell store. The prices are ok, but you cant beat the fact they are right around the corner. They sell all highend stuff too.

Who knows?
I think it would be in my best interest to live nowhere near there or to ever darken their doors. The temptation would be too much for me.

One thing about brick and mortar stores is you can actually pick up the tools and tell how much you like them. Looks like an interesting place.

I can kill a lot of time wandering around the tool sections of Lowes, Home Depot or Sears. But this place... :eek2: I would probably go missing for a concerning amount of time. Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to stop in the next time I drive by either location!

It would be nice to have a place like that locally, but since I'm buying online anyway I shop for the best price.

Like others have said its a pretty decent place. The membership does pay off to SOME DEGREE. If nothing else it's worth it to get their catalog.

They do have a pretty decent selection in that catalog, someone dropped one off at my brothers body shop, think the membership deals turned some people off since its about what you can find the same tools for selling every day on the internet.

This place looks great. I never make it out that way and I'm sort of glad. I can only imagine the money i would spend at a store like this.

Yeah that was my issue. However, if this place is nearby, and you really need a certain tool... I could see that membership coming in handy. A $3 or $4 over tooltopia's price is nothing to pay when you need it NOW.

I wish I had a place like this near me. We do have a store similar but just not as big and with as much of a selection. They do sell Proto, SK, Wright, Channellock, Klein and power tools from Makita and Dewalt. Pretty much all of my tool business goes to them. ***** that they are like 25min from me. Well actually probably a good thing.

that's why I said "some degree." I didn't want to publicly admit to being the guy that uses their catalog to find something I want ONLY to search for it online for the same price MINUS the membership fee. :(

So what I'm hearing is we must support USA workers in manufacturing - but retail sales - NOPE! :p

I gladly pay a couple more dollars to buy from a place like that than buy online. In fact I have only bought 2 tools online all last year. Only because it was not available locally. I am the type that likes touch and try it out first. If I like it I will buy it from the local retailers. I am a small business owner myself and always try to support local businesses when I can. Sure I buy stuff from big box stores but will try the local businesses first.

That place looks awesome! I have a couple of local places that sell SK, Proto, Wright, Klein, etc. But not all those brands under one roof. The Proto dealer is about an hour away, and in a direction I don't normally venture.

I have one of there catalogs. But i never order from them (or drive there) because price is a little higher than Amazon and or tooltopia.

If they were a 5 minutes drive for me vs 45 minutes, I would probably be in trouble. If there prices were the same as Amazon or tooltopia I would be making a lot of trips to Howell NJ.

One of the things I like about Eppy's is occasionally they have unadvertised sales, I live about a half hour away but do drive by it frequently, so whenever I do drive by I'll stop in to check out what's on sale. More often than not I'll leave with something

Its not really local, so gotta have it now doesn't fit for us, add in the prices, membership fees and taxes its not worth the drive for most people when they have a truck coming to there work or can order it on amazon and have it there pretty quick on there phone without missing a beat.

Our guys bought more tools off the eppy truck, just a van, than the big tool trucks. They used to do a big spread at the englishtown swap meets. Not sure if they still do since the swap meet ***** these days.

Couple years ago I talked to the owner (Nice guy BTW) of Eppy's at the Englishtown swap meet. He said he would not be coming back to promote his business. I believe he said he would continue to go to the carlisle swap meet though..

Finally made it down to Eppy's today...I was in heaven...I didn't even know where to start looking. The SK display was awesome, I've never seen so much new SK in one spot. I ended up buying a 6.5" 1/4" SK ratchet and I signed up for the tool club. If this store were any closer to me I'd be in trouble, way too much stuff to buy there.

Been there twice in the last two weeks and going back again this week, may head out to the Brooklyn NY store in Spring, it's about 4 times the size of the Howell store. Nice to see SK still playing a prominent role in the tool industry.
