This is on my 1936 Walker Turner. I'm not sure I like it. I want you guys to tell me the truth. Does it look cheap and home made,,,lol. Like it doesn't belong.

I got the flex light off of ebay. And the shade was an orange juicer I got at the flea market for $1. I cut the center out. Then I used a 1-1/4 drain nut that I shaved the threads out of to connect the two.

I think I kinda like it,,,lol. IDK. I'm not sure.

Honest opinions please. Keep it. Or loose it.

i'd keep it. Looks good, plus 1 light is better than no light. Maybe give it a paint job. Try to match the press maybe.

I'm not going to paint the press. So I may not paint the light. Unless of coarse I paint the motor mounting plate the I'm getting for a third pulley to mount to.

I like the old and used on this drill press. I won't be painting it. The pics you see is of the bad side. And it doesn't look that bad in real life.

I'm going to use one of those old time Edison lights. I just borrowed this one from my son. But it's a long neck, and too long.

I think it looks cool man. I am thinking of painting my 36 WT red. I'm not really a "must be original" guy. I think it would be super cool in toolbox red hammertone...

That light would be extra cool with an edison.

The light is fine but who is going to notice the light. My eyes just go to that ships wheel handle. man I love those and wish my WT had one on it.

That's my sons 2000 Audi A4. He tore it apart over 3 years ago to do a timing belt change. Changed the belt and never finished putting it back together. He got a different job with weird hours. Lost interest.

So we towed it to my house for me to finish. But then I got sick with cancer and now it's been sitting in my driveway for over a year. But I'm all better now and I'm supposed to be getting it done right now. He's been putting the bum rush on me. Maybe this Spring,,,,lol.

So you noticed the little glimpse of a car in the driveway. But you didn't notice the missing spindle/quill/chuck on the drill press,,,lol.

Or maybe just nobody said anything.

It just amazes me what guys notice in the back ground. I posted a pic one time with just a little bitty section of a fender and blinker of a motorcycle showing. Some guy nailed it on what year and model it was.

I kept saying this light reminded me of something. It's the Ma Bell logo.

Or maybe it was the Taco bell logo. That might explain when ever I look at the light I get hungry. :D

Love it. That particular bulb looks kinda dangerous, as it is protruding out of the shade quite a bit. This makes it very easy to hit the bulb with a tool (or the work piece) and then the bulb is shattering right by your face.

I hate it. Remove it, stick it in a well protected box, put my address on it, and ill dispose of it. Seriously, its look good. Keep it.

Ya just gotta use the correct terms. It's not 'home made' it's 'Shop made' . If you pay attention there are a lot of items in the shop that may have started out in the food prep area.
