Check out this ****** Block!

Yea, I'm stoked. Once again I'm excited over ******.

But check out the size of this thing. I've been looking for one for a while to do double pulls when moving trucks/eqip from one truck to another truck/trailer. I've seen them for $100-200 range, and then this one showed up on CL for $20.

It's an old McKissick, I believe 8 ton. That's a Wilton 400s next to it for size.

EDIT: BTW, what is the definitive difference of ****** block vs sheave block? Google was back and forth on it????

That is a good find for $20.00. McKissick makes damn fine equipment.
A sheave block doesn't usually have a side that opens. A ****** block is a sheave block that does have an open cheek (side) to make placing the line over the sheave easier.

kblazer nailed it. Typically ****** blocks are designed to change the direction of a load and one that is already hooked up. They open so you don't need one end of the line free. Compared to sheeve blocks are typically set and forget with a load that is parallel to the lifting force.
