Not sure I get it.... Terrible waste of space, no driveway, cluttered... Plus, you better hope the hydraulic system never fails. Odd.... But he must really enjoy it.

Im with you. Everything in this garage is junk or will be junk in a few years so you build a hydraulic door that probably adds $50,000 alone to store $40,000 worth of toys that will be worth $20,000 in a couple years. Now if he had a couple cool Hotrods and or some exotic cars, it would then seem way cooler.
